Evan and Dana met at a Christmas party through a mutual friend when they were just 18 and 19 years old. They dated for 2.5 years until Evan proposed on a beach in North Carolina- a place they both visited often as kids- in 2012. They were married shortly after, on the most beautiful day in the spring of 2013! They adopted a sweet, orange cat named Aslan who they love very much! He loves cuddles, playing outside and taking naps. Dana was able to graduate college a year in advance and began teaching an 8th grade Language Arts class and coaching a track and field team just days after graduation. When Evan finished his undergraduate degree, they both moved to their first duty station in Florida. There, they enjoyed living next to the beach and spent most of their time in the ocean or exploring nearby cities and states.
Soon, they moved to Louisiana where Evan began training with the jet he currently works on. Here is where Evan and Dana hoped to start their family, but God had other plans. Despite fertility challenges, Evan and Dana made the most of their time down South, but were excited for their next and most recent duty station in North Dakota.
While stationed here, Evan was selected to take part in an exclusive program for officers. He was one of 5 to graduate from the program, and was awarded the prestigious flying award. In the same year, Evan also completed his masters in business administration with a 4.0. Throughout the years they have spent in North Dakota, they have been intentional about starting a family. They continue to be filled with hope that there is a sweet mom out there somewhere looking for people just like them to take care of their child or children.
